PRR Train Station - North Beaver Township

Text Coming Soon!

An aerial view of the Pennsylvania Railroad (PRR) train station once located near Mahoningtown. An original station, or simply a “waiting room” where no tickets were sold, at this location was lost to a fire on November 4, 1931. It was replaced with a new passenger station soon after. I believe this station was in service until closed down – despite local protests to keep it open – by the PRR in 1962. (1939) Full Size

Jeff, …The Penn. passenger station was located by our house at the Y. Cross the bridge going toward Mt. Jackson and after you cross the bridge the first drive (grown over with weed and trees) was the drive back to the station. Caught a train to enlist in the service and then took the train back when I returned from overseas.
