This postcard was postmarked 12/30/1941 – a few weeks after the attack of Pearl Harbor – and sent to Mrs. Lila Mae Cobb in West Albany NY. The inscription reads in part: “Hello: Now who is late. Why me of course. Anyway thanks for the Xmas and viewcard. Ok on your bringing teacher an apple. I have always said that I would rather bite into an apple and find a worm than to find a half a worm… Going to see “Ice Follies” in Pitts. We thought the gas business was tough boy what about tires!
