Grandview Cemetery - Beaver Falls PA

Grandview Cemetery is a privately-owned burial ground that is located off of Norwood Drive just north of Beaver Falls, Pennsylvania. It was originally chartered in June 1887. It took its name due to its location upon a prominent hill that overlooks the Beaver River valley – and now the northern part of Beaver Falls itself. The following directors were appointed at that time: Dr. John W. Wallace, Dr. J. J. Wallace, and Dr. R. D. Wallace of New Castle and John White, J. C. Gray, W. J. Alford and Charles P. Wallace of Beaver Falls. Charles P. Wallace (1836-1900), a prominent local banker and former county treasurer, was instrumental in guiding the cemetery in its early days. Ownership of the cemetery changed hands several times over the years and is still very well maintained.

Among the prominent burials is John W. Wallace (1818-1889), a local doctor who served as a member of the U.S. House of Representatives from 1861-1863 and 1875-1877, and Ray Robinson (1910-1985), the local legend known more popularly as the “Green Man.”
